Camark Pottery

Camden, Arkansas1926-1983

Started in 1926 by a collaboration effort by Jack Carnes, John Lessell, Stephen Sebaugh and the Camden Chamber of Commerce.

The main character in the development of the company was Jack Carnes a native of Ohio and knew of art pottery manufacturing around Zanesville, Ohio. His vision of turning Camden into a second Zanesville and tapping the markets of the southern and western states came to reality with Camark.
