Novelties and figurines were a big part of Hull's market during
the fifties selling the items to chain stores such as Woolworths and
even some stores in Canada. Not all were marked but most had a number
and USA or had Hull and USA. The pieces were produced in matte, satin
and gloss finishes. Pieces are now beinging reproduced and showing up on
eBay and in the antique malls. One also has to remember McCoy and
Shawnee were also producing novelty items at this time so it is hard to
distinquish between the three without the signature being on the piece.
Very few will have a value higher than 10-20 dollars with the exception
of some experimental pieces and low production run pieces.
